Not to be confused with the optical or electronic stabilizers built in most modern camcorders, which are designed to help stop camera shake when handheld in a static position. The stabilizers below work in a similar way to the * "Steadicam" stabilizing systems which enable the operator to move around with the camcorder and still get stable pictures.
