Not to be confused with the optical or
electronic stabilizers built in most modern camcorders, which are designed to help
stop camera shake when handheld in a static position.
The stabilizers below work in a similar way to the * "Steadicam" stabilizing
systems which enable the operator to move around with the camcorder and still
get stable pictures. ( * Steadicam is a registered
trade mark )
These handheld counterbalanced systems have a free moving handle which
prevents hand movement going through the camera, giving a floating affect
similar to a tracking shot.

The crucial part of any stabilizer is the gimble, as it is essential that the handle is totally free moving. The Hague Mini Motion-Cam's gimble has a highly polished ball with a nylon socket ensuring super free movement. This makes it far superior and more effective than any other "ball type" stabilizer on the market. The camcorder fits directly onto the stabilizer with adjustment for moving the
camera forward and back for balancing. |

| Optional: MINI MOTION-CAM BALANCE CORRECTION PLATE Product code MMCP £8.51 exc.vat £10.00 inc.vat Unfortunately not all camcorder manufacturers put the tripod mounting hole at the centre of balance on the camera, which means the camcorder could be front or back heavy, or the mounting hole could be offset to the side on the camcorder. Larger batteries or a wide angle lens will also affect balance and although the Mini Motion-Cam has been designed to have plenty of adjustment to allow for this, on some camcorders it may be necessary to use the Balance Correction Plate. If you find the camcorder will not move far enough either back or forward, or the adjustable weight plate is fully to one side and you are still not getting the stabilizer balanced correctly, you will need the correction plate. The correction plate simply screws onto the base of the camcorder, there are several mounting holes in the plate to mount it to the Motion-Cam to correct the balance. |

The new Hague HD Motion-Cam has been specifically designed for the current
range of HD camcorders such as the Sony Z1, FX1, V1, Panasonic HVX200, Canon XH
A1, plus all camcorders within the weight range from 1.2kg. to 4.5kg.
Buying direct from the manufacturer
has brought the cost of this counterbalance stabilizing unit down to a price you
can afford, yet it is still as effective, or even better, than some of the other
stabilizers currently on the market. The 5 radial ball bearing gimble ensures
super smooth camera movement and, unlike some stabilizers, has fine trim on both
axes making it quick and simple to level off the camera once balanced. Other
features include a quick release camera plate, so the camera can be quickly moved from stabilizer to a tripod.
A selection of counterbalance weights are supplied for balancing the different
weights of camcorder.
The HD Motion-Cam can either be used handheld, or with the
optional Varrizoom DV
Sportster which is a body harness, with a single suspension arm which helps
takes the weight of the camcorder, allowing fatigue free operation.

| The Ultralite is a compact solution for field use of small cameras 0.9-3kg. 2-7 pounds. The pedestal base can be used to set the unit down when not in use.
