	Listening to the comments from people who have purchased the A1 & HC1/7, we have developed and produced the following products which we hope you may find useful. We have also listed other accessories for owners of these camcorders.

	TRIPOD ADAPTOR Product Code TA £16.98 exc.vat. £19.95 inc.vat. plus £2.50 UK Postage Ideal for Sony A1/HC1 On the A1 and the HC1 the tape is loaded in the base of the camcorder, making it awkward to change the tape if the camera is used on a tripod. The Tripod Adaptor fits between the camcorder and the camera release plate raising it by 50mm, which leaves enough room for the tape to be replaced without removing the camcorder, or the release plate from the tripod. This enables the operator to quickly change tape whilst the camcorder remains on the tripod. N.B. For the adaptor to work it only fastens half way across the base of the camcorder, and as the plastic casing of these camcorders is very thin, the camcorder is not as rigid as it would be when mounted directly to a large release plate. Ideal for Sony HC1/7
The HC1/7, along with some other Sony camcorders, does not have a standard size accessory shoe so you are unable to attach other manufacturers microphones, lights etc. The Single Shoe Adaptor converts the shoe on the camcorder to a standard sized one. It is raised by 20mm to clear the shoe cap making it easy to attach microphones, lights etc.

The Double Shoe Adaptor converts the small Sony camera shoe (HC1/7) to a twin standard size shoe, enabling two accessories to be mounted at the same time. ie microphone and light.

How does it work? The camcorder mounts onto the base of the frame, slightly to the right to enable the flip-out screen to be used to monitor your shots. Also on the base of the frame is a mounting point for a tripod quick release plate, as well as a mounting point for a monopod. To the right and left are handgrips to hold the Camframe. It is the combination of your left and right hand 30cm apart, plus your arms in front of you, that give the camera a stabilizing effect. Just above the right and left handgrips is space for a clamp-on camcorder remote control, ideal if you are using a Sony or Canon camcorder that has a lanc socket (more details). At the top of the frame there is another handgrip for carrying the Camframe or it can be used when taking low shots.
