The new Hague HDV Boom K8 has been
developed to support the new range of HD camcorders such as the Sony Z1, V1, A1
etc. plus all other “handheld” camcorders under 4kg.. The boom is fastened
directly to the video head of any sturdy tripod, in the same way you would
attach your camcorder, it can be mounted using both 1/4” and 3/8” screws. |

On the end of the boom is a camera plate mounted on a pulley with a control cable coming down the boom to a second pulley at the side of the video head on the tripod. It is this control cable that keeps the camcorder level as the boom is raised or lowered. Tilting the tripod’s video head controls the camera pulley on the end of the boom, enabling the camcorder to be tilted up or down. The radial ball bearings in the pulley ensure a very smooth tilt movement. |

| The boom breaks down into 3 pieces making
it quick and simple to set up, standard bar weights (not supplied) are used
for counterbalance and there is an adjustable fine trim weight to achieve
optimum balance. The boom can be used at 2 different lengths, at its longest
length the camera will go from ground level to over 3.5metres high and at
its shorter length to 2.5metres high. An optional Lanc Remote Control can be used to control the camcorder and if you run a cable down the boom arm you can attach a monitor to the tripod to monitor you shots. Specifications: |

HAGUE DSLR L ADAPTOR Product code LA £24.00 exc.vat £28.80 inc.vat Suitable for Hague Jibs, Cranes, and Booms K1, K2, K8 & K16 Because DSLR cameras are wider than camcorders and tend to be front heavy because of the interchangeable lenses, this can sometimes make them more difficult to mount to our jibs especially when you are trying to attach cables for monitoring. The DSLR L Adaptor solves this problem as it allows the camera to be mounted further over to left or right giving more clearance for cables etc. It can also be used to improve the balance as the camera can be mounted further back. The adaptor's camera plate can be set to the left, right or centre position. Suitable for use with the Hague Jibs and Cranes K1, K2. K8 and K16.
