The Tube Clamp with Double Ball Tilt Head is supplied with two U-Bolts and is suitable for attaching to round tubes, bars and railings with diameters between 15 - 30mm. ( 5/8" - 1 1/4" ).     
The zinc coated u-bolt rail base consists of the 25mm ( 1" ) diameter ball and an adjustable socket system with a large 50mm diameter camera plate with a standard 1/4"-20 camera thread, a 50mm washer is also supplied to place between the camera and the mount. This mount is designed to be a universal mounting solution for both still and movie cameras and can be adjusted to get the camera into the required position. The distance from camera to rail can be adjusted from 60 to 150mm ( 1 3/8" - 6" )
To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black composite covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.
The male 1/4" long, 1/4"-20 thread in the middle of the camera plate will connect to the standard female thread found at the bottom of most still and video cameras.

The cast rail bracket accepts 25mm ( 1" ) and 32mm ( 1.25" ) u-bolts and both are supplied in the kit. Also included is a black plastic shim that sits inside the u-bolt for attaching to rail above 15mm ( 5/8" ) diameter.
